I'm James Eagle, the founder of Eeagli. I built Eeagli because I wanted a better way to tell stories with data.
Most chart tools are designed for static reports. But the best data stories move. They show change over time, reveal patterns, and make complex information feel intuitive. That's what Eeagli does.
Background
I've spent years working at the intersection of data, technology and storytelling. Before Eeagli, I worked in financial services, where I saw how powerful good visualisation can be for explaining complex ideas.
I taught myself to code in the early days of the web, building things from scratch and learning by doing. That same approach drives how I build Eeagli today.
What I write about
The Examples section of this site is where I publish chart stories on topics I find interesting: economic history, financial markets, energy, technology, and global trends.
Each piece combines original data visualisation with analysis. The goal is to make complex topics accessible and show what's possible when you let the data tell the story.
Based in Switzerland
Eeagli is based in Wädenswil, Switzerland. I chose Switzerland for its stability, privacy standards, and central European location.
